I have always admired the beauty and wisdom of metaphorical language in the Bible. Jesus' use of his relationship to the father helps us appreciate, within our own family structure, the understanding of relationships. What came to mind this morning was the concern for how family structures have changed especially in America. If the family structure changes how will the youth of America appreciate the metaphorical examples in the Bible? Will this cause them to have less of an impact than before? Hmm...Suspect

In this passage we see the importance and the influence of a Godly father in our homes. It makes me reflect on my own upbringing. I feel truly blessed and grateful to have been raised in a Christian home where my father, like the authors, lead by example.
