April 8th

This has been my problem with our church, LBC, over the past few years. The church leadership has concentrated on looking like modern mega-churches look. Certain things have changed like getting ride of choir, the role of Elders, and how we worship. All these things have to do with creating a brand (oh yes, we hired a company to design a "brand" to modernize). What we failed to acknowledge is that Jesus IS the brand. We are more concerned with fitting in the world that we forget what is important. Sad, truly sad.
