It's true that nothing in life is free. Even our salvation, that is free to us, came at the ultimate price for God and his Son. Because of this we have (verse 4) "an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade - kept in heaven for us. "Amazing love! How can it be?"

I think it's a great reminder that nothing in life is free. Christ paid the ultimate price and serves as a great model of the sacrifice we should do for God.
