...are just so darn simple. "Integrity and contentment are riches of the soul..." I just spent some time this weekend with a colleague who was complaining about his lack of joy. He has money, social status, and more but he says he has no joy. He is looking at his employment status, new home, fancy car, etc. in search of joy. True contentment only comes from God. When we go through those tough disappointing times, and we all will, we need to turn our attention to the true giver of joy. 
We need to stop placing our hopes on material things and focus on the spiritual.

The kids and I just finished discussing contentment. The word alone is just now becoming something they can understand.
They both understood it and when defining it said,"You can still want an extra piece of cake but don't dwell on wanting it."
