July 4th

HAPPY 4th!!! One of God's many blessings to me is allowing me to live and have my family in such a great country. If I consider my family's background I just as easily could have been raised in a country that was impoverished and lacking the religious freedom that I enjoy today. This wonderful freedom that I have also increases  the potential for more wealth and focus on material items. I recall my mother telling me stories of  the "old country" and being raised "dirt poor". She always got a little sentimental because she remembered those days as simpler and less complex. Our material blessing may present some challenges if we don't focus on what is truly important. Remember that when we celebrate our freedom today, we celebrate God's grace on us.
