Today's reading was a reminder that I need to not just pray when times are tough, but also when things are going well. This is something I need improvement on. It's quite easy to turn to prayer when we're struggling.

Someone just told me a story about a pastor that everyone thought was crazy because he was always "talking to himself" when they found out he was just in conversation with God always.
What I am trying to practice and teach the kids is that if we are faithfully in prayer then like anything it becomes more natural during good or bad times.

What the daily bread is saying is when you need help don't be afraid to ask God for help.
Sometimes I will forget to pray at night I need to work on that.

Sometimes I wonder if God allows us to go through tough times or situations because we will naturally turn to Him for an answer. Hmm... That's what makes the practice of Reflection & Gratitude so special. It helps us see all our blessings and see God's grace in our daily activities. Something we could all do better. Perhaps something we need to prioritize.
