We often time experience cultural conflicts with our spiritual beliefs. Today's reading is an example. We are culturally encouraged to be the authors of our life's story. We are even told that's the secret to success. The author reminds us that you should "Let God Write Your Story.” Accepting another, even if its God, doesn't seem popular in the American experience but we know that regardless of culture God is the author and editor of our stories. I'm glad I don't have to worry about that role and can be comforted with the thought that someone much greater than I is in control.
