Re: July 20th
In light of yesterday's reading, that I just did, I'm using today's reading to meditate and focus on thankfulness and gratefulness. As I'm off to do chores this gives me a much more positive mindset and those tedious jobs will now be done with joy and heart of thanksgiving for having a lovely home that needs tending to!

I couldn't help but laugh when we read about "Earworm" this morning. The very mention of It's a Small World makes me hum that song for hours. I get Disney in my head! This should also be true for the word of God. It requires daily attention and the blessings are endless.

Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me— put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
I'm really good about putting it into practice for short spurts... it's being consistent that's difficult. When I venture off is when I lose that sense of "peace..." It's such a no-brainer!

Its hilarious that he called It's A Small World his "personal nightmare."
I love the progression of verbs and actions we should take: rejoice, be reasonable, don't be anxious, pray, supplicate, give thanks - and God will give you peace. And then he follows it up with adjectives of what we should "be": true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellence, praiseworthy. It almost seems over simplified, and maybe it should be - do this, be that.
Like Anthony said, I struggle with consistency too.
