This is one of those things that I know to be true, but that doesn't mean I like it to be so.  When going through tough times I can say to myself that all this will improve my character. While I can make cognitive sense of this, knowing the promises from God, I affectively have problems with it. To me it is as to welcome problems so as to have spiritual growth. I understand it...but...scratch
