I have always believed that the word of God stands alone. After centuries of people trying to change it, alter it, or destroy it God's word is stronger and everlasting. People unfortunately want to use scriptures to their convenience. They don't alter God's word, just conveniently interpret it to fit their particular lifestyle choice. I believe that's why non-Christians have such a difficulty in knowing what Christians believe. While God's word is constant, man is inconsistent by convenience.
