Today's reading reminded me of something I often forget. The blessing of reading the scriptures and understanding them are both..."privilege and the responsibility that accompanies our salvation." Seeing it as a privilege is easy, taking it as a responsibility can at times be ignored. This made me think of Luke 12:48 "...from everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked." Clearly the gift comes with responsibilities.

I like the last 2 lines of the little poem at the end.
"I want to be open to you everyday,
So what you have planted takes root."
There is a lot beings planted each day with these readings now I need to be sure it "takes root".
