Nov.14th Tricia Haley and Eric

With the typhoon that the Philippines, Thanksgiving on its way, sick family members and our sermon on Sunday about loving our neighbors today's devotion is a great encouragement to keep on caring.  I feel like this time of year it is easy to get burnt out but I felt like today's devotion was a great charge to continue on.  
The following is the part the kids and I read over several times:

As we seek to serve those in need, may the grace of God that reached us in our need move us to reach out to others in theirs.

Father, open my eyes to those struggling to have
enough food, enough love, enough hope; then open my
heart to find ways to help them receive love, using my
hands in service to them—and through them, to You.
By serving others, we serve God.
